“America 250: Florida in the American Revolution”

As the nation commemorates the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution, this special edition of Forum explores Florida’s often-overlooked role in the struggle that gave birth to the United States. While the Revolution is most commonly associated with the thirteen colonies, Florida followed a very different path. During the war, East and West Florida remained loyal to the British Crown, becoming centers of military activity, political intrigue, and international conflict that shaped the future of North America.
