New Smyrna Beach
From its British Colonial beginning to thriving Florida boom town, join us as we explore 10 of New Smyrna Beach’s most intriguing landmarks. Old canals and ruins of speculative origin have made for lively conversation and photo opportunities for well over 200 years here in New Smyrna Beach. Visit some of those same sites and have your own discussion as you make your way from old postal facilities to depression era construction projects to a library that had to be moved to be saved. Walk New Smyrna Beach will take you on a journey through the past with stories of the area’s first settlers to the pioneers of the area who struggled to carve out an existence.
Florida Stories walking tours are enjoyable both on foot and in the comfort of your own home. Designed as walking tours, our historical, location-based multimedia walks are available for locations around the state of Florida.
If you are taking the tour in person, the duration will be approximately one hour and fifteen minutes. Directions to your next stop are included.
